To take the headache out of having to remember what to assign to new users all the time, the SkillSuite platform allows you set up automated triggers that will automatically assign to any user that matches the settings. Instead of having to manually assign users to courses you have created, this allows you to just automate the process to simplify your job.

Assignment Automations List
To view the list of automations that have been created, click on the ‘Assign This Course’ tab in the Course Builder, and then select the ‘Automations’ option.
You will then be able to view the list of automations that have been created. You can then edit the automations and create new ones.
To create a new automation, click on the blue ‘+ Create New Automation’ button. Afterwards, a new page will appear where you can select between a one-time automation or a recurring automation.
One-Time Automations
One-time automations are automations that will only run a single time instead of perpetually recurring. The automation will assign to anyone who matches the settings selected.
Active Status
Turn the automation on or off based on your needs. You can turn off an automation that no longer needs to run without deleting it, or you can deactivate the automation if you are not ready to have it go live yet.
Automation Scheduling
There is an option to select between a one-time automation and a recurring automation. Select ‘Run automation once’ to have it only run a single time instead of be recurring.
Who to Assign
Select groups and user roles to assign this course to.
Completion Timeline
Set a completion timeline either by date or number of days.
Advanced Options
Under ‘Advanced Options’ is where you can change the owner of the automation if you want to change it from the default setting, which is the group that the author belongs to.
You can also choose to reassign or not reassign the course to users who have already completed the course in the past.
